Dan is a creative technologist, visual artist and VJ from Manchester (UK). While working as a research technologist for the BBC’s Research and Development UX group by day, by night Dan creates and peforms large-scale improvised live visuals at exhibitions, concerts and festivals. Dan’s live pratice centers around merging traditional VJ techniques with an improvised livecoding approach: the practice of writing unrehearsed live code on the fly to create intricate audio-reactive visual forms, while keeping the code itself visible to the audience as part of the performance.
