Digital Dance Exploration

by Andreas Müller

I’ve been exploring how to incorporate motion capture data into my work for the last couple of months and it has been tons of fun, so I think others might enjoy as well.

We are going to go through some of the basics on how to use motion capture data in openFrameworks and some of the techniques that are useful when working with dance performance data.

We will not be covering the asset conversion side of things extensively apart from the workflow I currently use.

Intermediate to advanced experience with openFrameworks. You are comfortable using ofMesh to create your own programmatic meshes.
You have written at least a couple of surface shaders (a little copy paste is allowed).
You’ll need a laptop that can run openFrameworks that is capable of running shaders.
