WORKSHOP Kinoteka, 12th - 13th April, 10AM - 6PM Daily

Volt, Amp, Synth, & Sound

by Joshua Noble

Deep down inside code is really just electricity and that means if you have a way to control electricity you have a way to make input, logic, and output without any code at all. All you need is electronics to structure electricity. If you can give structure to electricity, you can make sound. In this workshop we’re going to learn how this works by building two simple synthesizers which you can take home with you. You’ll learn the building blocks of controlling current, building logic, and creating sound, and everyone will receive a 3d printed controller box and and all the electronics needed to make a two small synths that can be powered off of a 9V battery.
