For this workshop participants will be lead in to the making and understanding of a unique device named Elektrosluch, this time in a new, upgraded version Elektrosluch Mini City. Elektrosluch is an open-source device for electromagnetic listening. It allows one to discover sonic worlds of electromagnetic fields that are invisible ever present part of our environment. After the workshop you are going to be able to just plug your headphones in the new miniaturised version of Elektrosluch and explore your surroundings.

No previous soldering experience is required, workshop starts with a soldering course.

The workshop is realized within the framework of ENCAC – European Network for Contemporary Audiovisual Creation.
Born in Czechoslovakia. Studied at Institute of Sonology in The Hague (Netherlands) and at Music Academy in Cracow (Poland). His main focus are chaotic rhythms, exploration of psychoacoustic properties of sound and field recording. He has created several site-specific sound installations, based on resonant properties of spaces and materials. Gave workshops on sonification, field recording, electromagnetic listening, and programming for artists. He is the creator of Elektrosluch – electromagnetic listening device.
Performed and exhibited his work in Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, United Kingdom; on festivals such as Kraak (Belgium), Unsound (Poland), Norberg (Sweden), Sonic Experiments @ ZKM (Germany), Audio Art (Poland), Mélos-Ethos (Slovakia), Parallel Vienna (Austria), Ultrahang (Hungary) or Next (Slovakia). In 2009 he started label LOM focused on East/Central European experimental art and music. Since 2013 he is organizing ZVUK, outdoor festival dedicated to experimental music.
