ALI M. DEMIREL
Born in 1972, Turkey.
Studied nuclear engineering at Hacettepe University, and architecture at Middle East Technical University (METU). After receiving his degree in architecture, he worked and lectured at GISAM (Audio-Visual Research Center) of METU.
Started making experimental videos in 1993, focusing on minimal imagery and structural compositions. His concepts are often driven from science and architecture.
Following his collaboration with Richie Hawtin (aka Plastikman) on music videos, he started to design and perform live visual shows. Reflecting his background in physics and architecture, he has established a unique visual style with minimal electronic music.
